[Plsgs] FW: SPLS Graduate Student Club

Hi fellow graduate students - After having a very interesting conversation with our most recent SPLS director candidate, Dr. Khosla, I would like to restart the graduate club. I think this is an important step to help build a support group for each other and to create a forum where we can raise concerns about assistantships, courses, research, problems with PIs, etc... By working as a group, we can bring concerns and ideas to the attention of the department much more easily than singularly.

I would like to organize a meet up for this summer where we can discuss ideas for the coming year as well as officer positions. I would like to emphasize that I am not volunteering myself for president, but just trying to jump start this process. I think a lunch meeting might be nice and will set up a meeting place once I hear back from you. Please fill out the doodle poll (link below) with your availability.
