Call for GPSC Travel Grants Judges, September Round

The GPSC Travel Grants Program would like to invite you to participate in the Travel Grants application review process for the September round (deadline September 01, 2017 at 11:59PM). Graduate and professional student peer review is an essential part of our program's competitive grant funding process.

Why serve as a judge?

1) You can formulate a more competitive application for future rounds by reviewing actual applications

2) You have something additional to write in the service area of your CV or resume

3) You will get an insider's perspective on an evaluation process similar to major granting agencies like NSF/NIH/NEH

4) You can be involved in a small but central part of student governance

If you would like to be a judge and have served as a Travel Grants judge in the past, please email gpscfunding at email.arizona.edu<mailto:gpscfunding at email.arizona.edu%3cmailto:gpscfunding at email.arizona.edu>. If you have not yet served as a Travel Grants judge and would like to volunteer, please register at this link<https://webauth.arizona.edu/webauth/login?service=https://gpsc.arizona.edu/gpscforms/travel-grant-application/Judge/login.aspx&banner=Travel%20Grants>.

If you agree to serve as a judge, you will be contacted the first or second week of September with applications to review. Please note the review process will take no more than 1.5 to 2 hours of your time and can be completed online.

Thank you, and we look forward to your participation in the Travel Grants evaluation process.

Graduate Assistant/Associate Deferment Plan Enrollment

The GA Deferment Plan will allow a student hired as a Graduate Assistant/Associate to defer payment of any remaining tuition, including differential tuition, mandatory fees, and/or program fees, until close to the end of the semester. There is no cost to enroll in this plan. This plan does not cover non-tuition related expenses. If enrolled in the GA Deferment Plan, do not enroll in the standard UA payment plan. Any funding that is processed through the Bursar's Office will pay for remaining charges on your bursar's account, regardless of whether the charges have been deferred with this plan. Students with enough accepted financial aid to cover their charges should not use this form. Please refer to the GA Manual - Benefits of Appointment for a complete description.

Fall 2017 Enrollment and Payment Deadlines

  *   Enrollment Deadline: Friday, August 18, 2017
  * Late Enrollment Deadline: (last day to enroll in Deferment Plan) Monday, September 11, 2017
  * GA Deferment Payment Deadline: Wednesday, November 22, 2017
