Dear SPLS Grad Students,
Below please find information about a funding opportunity for current SPLS PhD students who are US citizens and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Our School is allowed to nominate a very limited number of students; the Graduate Student Program Committee will review applications received by *Thursday Oct 20, 5pm*. Seeking outstanding doctoral track students in the science and engineering fields to apply for the ARCS Foundation Scholarship for 2017-18. The award provides a *$10,500*stipend ($8,500 from ARCS and
$2,000 from the Graduate College), *full tuition *(if not covered by other University support such as a graduate assistantship)*, and a $500**annual travel grant*from the Graduate College.
The ARCS Foundation members are a group of women philanthropists interested in advancing science and technology nationwide since the mid 1950’s. The Phoenix Chapter alone has provided over 5million dollars to Scholars at UA, ASU, and NAU. This is a great opportunity for budding scientists and engineers to *learn how to present their research to donors*.
