American Association of University Women (AAUW) Career Development Grants
These grants provide assistance to women who, through additional higher education, technical training, or participation in professional development institutes, are making career changes, seeking to advance in current careers, or reentering the workforce. Grants provide support for course work beyond a bachelor's degree, including a master's degree, second bachelor's degree, certification program, or specialized training in technical or professional fields. The award amount is $2,000-12,000. Funds are available for tuition; fees; books; supplies; living expenses; local transportation; dependent child care; travel to professional meetings, conferences, or seminars, as long as it does not exceed 10 percent of the fellowship

American Association of University Women (AAUW) American Dissertation Fellowships
The purpose of the Dissertation Fellowship is to offset a scholar's living expenses while she completes her dissertation. The fellowship must be used for the final year of writing the dissertation. Funds may not be used for extended field research. American Fellowships are open to scholars in all fields of study. Dissertation Fellowships carry a stipend of $20,000 for the fellowship year.

American-Scandinavian Foundation Fellowships and Grants
The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (up to $5,000) to individuals to pursue research, study or creative arts projects in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year. The number of awards varies each year according to total funds available. Awards are made in all fields.

Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) Fellowships for Study or Research in Belgium
The BAEF encourages applications for fellowships for advanced study or research during one academic year, at a Belgian University or institution of higher learning. The B.A.E.F. will award up to ten fellowships as outright non-renewable grants carrying a stipend of $27,000 for Master's or Ph.D. students and $31,000 for Post-doctoral Fellows.

DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service
DAAD Fellowships provide support for study in Germany. The University of Arizona facilitates the selection of a priority candidate. To be considered, please follow the directions below. The following opportunities through DAAD are generally most relevant for graduate students:
Study Scholarships: "Study Scholarships provide highly qualified individuals with an opportunity to do independent study in Germany or to complete a full Master's degree program at a German university." These are available in the sciences, humanities, and arts.
Research grants: "Research Grants are awarded primarily to highly qualified PhD candidates who are early in their academic/professional careers or to individuals wishing to earn a doctoral degree in Germany. Funding may also be granted to recent PhDs who would like to conduct research." DAAD has both long-term and short-term research grants.
As a partner university, DAAD encourages the UA to select one priority candidate. Priority candidates from partner universities receive preferential status in the general fellowship competitions and have a considerably higher likelihood of being selected.

Dissertation Writing Fellowships - Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi will award ten $10,000 Dissertation Fellowships. To be eligible, applicants must be an active Phi Kappa Phi member by November 30, 2016 in the dissertation writing stage of doctoral study. Awards are for 12 months of dissertation writing. All pre-dissertation requirements should be met by the application deadline including approval of the dissertation proposal.

Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship and the Maria Teresa Velez - Marshall Foundation Dissertation Scholarship (UA only)
This award is intended for graduate students who are in the completion stage of their dissertation and who have exhausted all other funding resources except for loans. $10,846 is provided by the Marshall Foundation (disbursed in one sum in spring 2017) and a Graduate Tuition Scholarship for up to two consecutive semesters - spring 2017 and fall 2017 - provided by the Graduate College. Mandatory fees and health insurance are not covered.

National Center for Health Statistics/AcademyHealth Policy Fellowship
This fellowship program brings visiting scholars in health services research-related disciplines to the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) in Hyattsville, Maryland, for a period of 13 months to conduct studies of interest to policymakers and the health services research community. Fellows have access to NCHS data resources for use in their proposed studies, and also work on collaborative projects with NCHS staff. Applicants must demonstrate training and/or experience in health services research and its methodology, especially quantitative data analysis, reflecting disciplines such as public health, public administration, health care administration, sociology, health economics, health statistics, anthropology, and behavioral sciences, or the health professions (e.g., medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacology, etc.).

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellows
The fellowship supports a 12-month residential experience in Washington, D.C., with additional support for health policy leadership development activities. Doris Duke Fellowship for the Promotion of Child Well-Being
These fellowships are designed to identify and develop a new generation of leaders interested in and capable of creating practice and policy initiatives that will enhance child development and improve the nation's ability to prevent all forms of child maltreatment. The fellows receive an annual stipend of $30,000 for up to two years to support the completion of their dissertation and related research at their academic institution. Fellows are guided by an academic mentor whom they select; fellows also identify a policy or practice mentor to assist them in better understanding how to frame their research questions with an eye toward maximizing policy and practice relevance.

Getty Foundation Graduate Internships
Getty Graduate Internships are offered in the four programs of the J. Paul Getty Trust-the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Research Institute, the Getty Conservation Institute, and the Getty Foundation, as well as in Getty Publications-to students who intend to pursue careers in fields related to the visual arts. Training and work experience placements are available in areas such as curatorial, education, conservation, research, information management, public programs, and grantmaking. Internships are located at the Getty Center in Los Angeles or the Getty Villa in Malibu. All positions are full-time beginning September 11, 2017. Most internships are for eight months, ending May 18, 2018. Conservation internships are twelve months, ending September 7, 2018.

International Dissertation Research Fellowship - Social Science Research Council
The Mellon International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF) offers nine to twelve months of support to graduate students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who are enrolled in PhD programs in the United States and conducting dissertation research on non-US topics. Eighty fellowships are awarded annually. Fellowship amounts vary depending on the research plan, with a per-fellowship average of $21,000. The fellowship includes participation in an SSRC-funded interdisciplinary workshop upon the completion of IDRF-funded research. The program is open to graduate students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences.

Jennings Randolph Peace Scholarship Dissertation Program
The Jennings Randolph (JR) Peace scholarship Dissertation Program awards scholarships to students at U.S. universities who are writing doctoral dissertations with clear relevance for policy and practice in the field of international peacebuilding and conflict management. IDEA WILD Conservation Research Equipment Grants
IDEA WILD seeks to minimize the loss of biodiversity by empowering people on the front lines of conservation by awarding small equipment grants to conservation professionals around the world. These equipment grants advance biological research, conservation education, community outreach, conservation management, field training, and professional development in areas where it is needed most. By empowering both aspiring and veteran conservation professionals, IDEA WILD has been instrumental in establishing new protected areas, reversing the decline of species through innovative management plans, restoring damaged and critical habitat, and improving how local communities support and sustain their immediate natural resources. Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program
Funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, and administered by the American Society for Engineering Education. Stipends range from $25,000 to $38,000 depending on prior educational experience. It includes paid summer internships, a health insurance reimbursement of $1200/year, a book allowance of $1,000/academic year, mentoring, and employment placement after graduation. Faculty for the Future Fellowships
Faculty for the Future fellowships are awarded to women from developing and emerging economies who are preparing for PhD or post-doctoral study in the physical sciences and related disciplines at top universities for their disciplines abroad. The long-term goal of the Faculty for the Future program is to generate conditions that result in more women pursuing scientific disciplines. Lawrence Postdoctoral Fellowship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy
The Lawrence Fellowship is a highly-competitive postdoctoral position at LLNL that is open to all technical disciplines. Fellowships are awarded to candidates with exceptional talent, scientific track records, and potential for significant achievements. Typically, two to four fellowships are awarded each year, and the awards are for three years. Fellows are free to pursue their own research agenda under the guidance of a senior staff scientist who serves as a mentor. The fellows most often conduct their research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary manner with others in a team environment.
Applicants must either be in the process of completing their Ph.D. (within one year and employment may not start until Ph.D. requirements have been verified), or have received their Ph.D. degree within five years of being hired as a Lawrence Fellow.

The Society for the Humanities will sponsor two postdoctoral teaching-research fellowships in the humanities, each awarded for the two-year period beginning July 2016. Each fellowship offers a stipend of $50,000/year. While in residence at Cornell, Mellon Fellows hold department affiliations and joint appointments with the Society for the Humanities, have limited teaching duties, and the opportunity for scholarly work. Modeling Interdisciplinary Inquiry - Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Program in the Humanities & Social Sciences
Washington University announces the seventeenth year of Modeling Interdisciplinary Inquiry, a postdoctoral fellowship program endowed by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, designed to encourage interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching across the humanities and social sciences. We invite applications from recent PhDs, DPhils, or D.F.As (in hand by June 30, 2017, and, no earlier than June 30, 2012) for a position as Fellow. In September 2017, the newly selected Fellow will join the University's ongoing interdisciplinary programs and seminars. The Fellow will receive a two-year appointment with a nine-month academic year salary beginning at $54,152 per year. Postdoctoral Fellows pursue their own continuing research in association with a senior faculty mentor at WU. They will teach three undergraduate courses and collaborate in leading an interdisciplinary seminar on theory and methods for advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students in the humanities and interpretive social sciences.
