Below is an announcement for a position providing leadership for pesticide registration research at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center in Oregon.  The incumbent, Joe DeFrancesco, plans to step down from his position later this fall.  Oregon State University is hiring a full-time, Professor of Practice, to lead the IR-4 program in the state and develop the funding to sustain this critical research and outreach effort supporting the agricultural community.

Horticultural Crops Research and Registration Specialist. Oregon State University seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time position that will provide leadership for a nationally recognized research and outreach program supporting the pesticide registration needs of agriculture in the state.  This position serves as the National Interregional Research Project #4 (IR-4) Field Center Director for Oregon.  Master’s degree required in horticulture, crop science, entomology, plant pathology, weed science, or related fields. The position is based at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center, Aurora, OR.
