[Plsgs] Request for input on journal club topics

Dear Graduate Students,

Yesterday we invited you to respond to a doodle poll regarding setting a date to discuss ideas for future journal club topics that are of interest to Masters and Ph.D. Students  In the School of Plant Sciences.  Some of you had already requested to provide input on this topic, while others among you may not have been involved in that discussion. (http://doodle.com/poll/pvwd5kx6niy9niri)


Drs. Schmidt, Orbach, and I would like to meet with all the graduate students to brainstorm on ideas for topics that are of interest to you - consider also topics that will help you and the other students delve into previously unfamiliar areas in diverse specialty or broad topics in the plant sciences /plant pathology arenas. It would also be of interest to review the topics that have been covered in your previous experiences with Journal Club - do any of these need to be revisited with a different emphasis, etc. Please put on your thinking caps - we want to hear from you.

So the date and location can be set as soon as possible before classes begin, please reply to the doodle poll at your earliest - once the date is set, please plan to join in the discussion over pizza or other light lunch fare.....provided by Dr. Schumaker. The location of the meeting will be announced shortly.
