We invite you to join us for a lunch with Dr. Karen Sears, final candidate for the position in Adaptation Genomics (part of the Ecosystem Genomics Cluster Hire): Thursday, April 21 at 11:00-12:00pm in Biological Sciences West 302 (Catered by Paradise Bakery). Dr. Sears received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2003 and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  She studies gene networks to determine how developmental variation interacts with environmental factors to produce congenital malformations in humans and new evolutionary adaptations in mammals. Her seminar "From genome to phenome: Insights into adaptation from mammalian development" is on April 21 @ 12:30-1:30pm in Koffler 216 (Abstract: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1myel-FgSR3fLG7cm7kTfIL2Eonroa8o7tUs8TJ90MNw/edit?usp=sharing ).
