Spring Cyclovia Tucson Volunteers Needed!
Looking to boost your resume with volunteer experience? Want an opportunity to learn about event coordination and volunteer management?
The Living Streets Alliance (LSA) puts on Cyclovia twice a year -- opening 5 miles of city streets to biking and walking for a day, and supporting a variety of other community events throughout the route. LSA wants to conduct a short survey of attendees.
The next Cyclovia will be on Sunday, April 10th, and we need volunteers to help from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The route starts in the Lost Barrio, then winds up Highland towards the 3rd Street Bike Path, and then ends at Himmel Park. You can see the route here: http://www.cycloviatucson.org/the-route-2/
We could use folks to either help administer a short, easy survey and you will get a spiffy, free t-shirt out of the process as well!
If possible, let Laura Still (laurastill at email.arizona.edu<mailto:laurastill at email.arizona.edu>) know ASAP

Civic Engagement Survey
The GPSC would like to encourage all students to vote in upcoming presidential and state elections. To accomplish this, we would like to help you navigate the voting process with the aid of an informational brochure on voting in Arizona. We need your help to do this though. We are asking for your response to this quick survey (expected time to complete: 3 minutes) to discover what parts of the voting process students have the most questions about to create informational materials on topics most relevant to graduate and professional students.

Ombuds Program
The UA Ombuds Program offers a safe and confidential space for talking through and constructively addressing concerns, challenges, difficulties, and conflicts that arise for members of the campus community. Whether it’s a difficulty between a student and faculty member, problem with a roommate or group project member, workplace concern, or other issue, the Ombuds Program is here to help people work through the situation in a skilled and constructive way. An Ombuds can assist in identifying the issues at play and analyzing the situation, as well as help to identify and evaluate options for effectively addressing it.
The program provides facilitation and informal mediation, as well as coaching on effective communication and conflict resolution skills. Ombuds can help to clarify University policies and procedures, and refer visitors to other resources and services that may be helpful in their situation. The program offers training, workshops, and presentations on effective communication and conflict management skills and can help to prevent negative conflict through early intervention. It also helps to create positive change by reporting issues and trends to management, in a way that protects the confidentiality and anonymity of the visitors.
To make an appointment please contact the program director at 520-626-5589. For further information about the program please visit http://ombuds.arizona.edu/.
