Consortium for Faculty Diversity in Liberal Arts Colleges: Dissertation and Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Consortium now invites applications for dissertation fellowships and post-doctoral fellowships from those who will contribute to increasing the diversity of member colleges by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximizing the educational benefits of diversity and/or increasing the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of students.

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (and Humanities) Pre/Post Doctoral Fellowships
The purpose of the program is to provide opportunities to young and excellent pre-/post-doctoral researchers from the US, Canada and Europe to conduct, under the guidance of their hosts, cooperative research with leading research groups in universities and other Japanese institutions. In so doing, the program is designed to help advance the research of the visiting fellows, while augmenting opportunities for young researchers to come to Japan from the US, Canada and Europe.
Applications for this program are submitted by a host researcher in Japan who wishes to host a foreign postdoctoral fellow. All fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences are included under this program. Doctoral students can apply under the short-term postdoctoral program.

National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)
The purpose of the NSF GRFP is to help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce in the United States. The program is a wonderful source of funding for graduate students - providing awardees with $34,000 annually for three years, as well as additional benefits. NSF Fellows at the University of Arizona receive full tuition, mandatory fees, student health insurance for the Fellow, and a $500 travel grant during tenured years
Students at the University of Arizona are eligible to receive application support for this fellowship. Registrants will receive: email updates with advice and links; access to examples of successful applications; feedback on application essays (provided the early internal deadline is met); invitations to information sessions on the fellowship and to workshops on the application process. Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's German Chancellor Fellowship Program
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's German Chancellor Fellowship Program is targeted at university graduates from the United States, Russia, China, Brazil and India who have an international outlook and initial leadership experience. It addresses prospective decision-makers, multipliers and thought leaders from a broad range of professional fields such as politics, public administration and business as well as society and culture. The fellowships give them the opportunity to spend a year in Germany networking with other prospective leaders from abroad, who are also sponsored by the Humboldt Foundation, and to explore new solutions to the global issues of our times. Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) Doctoral Fellowship Seminar
ARNOVA offers a unique fellowship opportunity for doctoral students writing a dissertation on a topic in nonprofit or philanthropic studies. Fellows will have the chance to get important feedback on their research, and funding to attend the 42nd Annual Conference in Hartford, CT. The research must be focused on a topic related to philanthropy, voluntary action, civil society and the nonprofit sector. Focus areas might include nonprofit institutions (e.g., hospitals, human service agencies, arts organizations, religious groups); or phenomena like civic advocacy, pro-social behavior and social capital; or issues related to nonprofit management, public policy and intersectoral relations. The scope of the studies may include these organizations or activities in the U.S. or other countries.

Charles Koch Foundation Dissertation Grants and Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Foundation is accepting research grant proposals from individuals interested in writing dissertations that investigate the role of free societies in advancing well-being. Émigré Memorial German Internship Program (EMGIP)
Émigré Memorial German Internship Program (EMGIP) offers internship opportunities for US and Canadian students in the German parliament, the Bundestag. The internships are two months long in positions matching the student's interest and experience. Interns will be placed within the Verwaltung, preferably with a Sekretariat working for their preferred Ausschuss. In addition to contributing to the respective offices, interns have the opportunity to study legislative and administrative procedures in the German parliament.

Fahs-Beck Doctoral Dissertation Grant Program for Research in Human Services
Grants of up to $5,000 are available to help support dissertation expenses of doctoral students in the United States and Canada whose studies have the potential for adding significantly to knowledge about problems in the functioning or well-being of children, adults, couples, families, or communities, or about interventions designed to prevent or alleviate such problems. The research for which funding is requested must focus on the United States or Canada or on a comparison between the United States and Canada and one or more other countries.

Huntington Research Fellowships
The Huntington is an independent research center with holdings in British and American history, literature, art history, and the history of science and medicine. The Library collections range chronologically from the eleventh century to the present and include seven million manuscripts, 420,000 rare books, 275,000 reference works, and 1.3 million photographs, prints, and ephemera. The Burndy Library consists of some 67,000 rare books and reference volumes in the history of science and technology, as well as an important collection of scientific instruments. Within the general fields listed above there are many areas of special strength, including: Middle Ages, Renaissance, 19th- and 20th-century literature, British drama, Colonial America, American Civil War, Western America, and California. The Art Collections contain notable British and American paintings, fine prints, photographs, and an art reference library. In the library of the Botanical Gardens is a broad collection of reference works in botany, horticulture, and gardening. The Huntington will award to scholars over 150 fellowships for the academic year 2016-2017. These fellowships derive from a variety of funding sources and have different terms. Recipients of all fellowships are expected to be in continuous residence at the Huntington and to participate in and make a contribution to its intellectual life. Fellowship tenure is one to five months and award amount is $3,000/month.

John F. Kennedy Library Foundation Fellowships
The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation offers competitive research fellowships every year to scholars and students who wish to make use of the archival holdings (including audiovisual materials) of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. Topics include, but are not limited to, foreign intelligence and the presidency; research on immigration, naturalization, or refugee policy; and research on domestic policy, political journalism, polling, or press relations.

Lilly Library Fellowships - Indiana University at Bloomington
The Lilly Library invites applications for visiting fellowships for research in residence in its collections. The Lilly Library is the principal rare book and manuscript library of Indiana University. Its holdings support research in British, French, and American literature and history; the literature of voyages and exploration, specifically the European expansion in the Americas; early printing, and the Church, children's literature, music; film, radio and television; medicine, science, and architecture; and food and drink. The Everett Helm Visiting Fellowship program supports research and provides access to the collections of the Lilly Library for scholars residing outside the Bloomington area. The Mendel Fellowships are intended to support research by scholars from around the world in areas of particular interest to the Mendels, including: the history of the Spanish Colonial Empire; Latin American independence movements; European expansion in the Americas; voyages, travels and exploration; geography, navigation and cartography; German literature and history; and music, including sheet music.

NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant - Political Science (see NSF website for DDIGs under other directorates)
The program supports scientific research that advances knowledge and understanding of citizenship, government, and politics. Research proposals are expected to be theoretically motivated, conceptually precise, methodologically rigorous, and empirically oriented. Substantive areas include, but are not limited to, American government and politics, comparative government and politics, international relations, political behavior, political economy, and political institutions. In recent years, program awards have supported research projects on bargaining processes; campaigns and elections, electoral choice, and electoral systems; citizen support in emerging and established democracies; democratization, political change, and regime transitions; domestic and international conflict; international political economy; party activism; and political psychology and political tolerance. The program also has supported research experiences for undergraduate students and infrastructural activities, including methodological innovations, in the discipline.

Olympic Studies Center Fellowships
The OSC organizes an annual grant program intended for individuals engaged in scholarly research on the Olympic Movement, its history and ideals, and the impact of the Olympic Games on the various aspects of contemporary society and culture. The intention of this program is to support thesis research. Applicants should be preparing a PhD thesis in one or more of the disciplines within the human and social sciences (e.g., anthropology; arts; communications; economics/management; history; law; linguistics; pedagogy; philosophy; political sciences; sociology; sport sciences and urban, cultural, religious or literature studies) and have Olympism, Olympic sports or the Olympic Games as one of the research topics.

Society for the History of Technology Kranzberg Dissertation Fellowship
The Melvin Kranzberg Dissertation Fellowship is presented annually to a doctoral student engaged in the preparation of a dissertation on the history of technology, broadly defined. The $4,000 award is unrestricted and may be used in any way that the winner chooses to advance the research and writing of his or her dissertation. Possible uses include underwriting the costs of travel to archival collections; photocopying or microfilming; translation of documents; and so on. The award may not be used for university tuition or fees.

Opportunities in Science, Technology, and Engineering
GEM Fellowship Program
The National GEM Consortium provides three Fellowship Program. The MS Engineering Fellowship Program provides practical engineering summer work experiences through an employer sponsor and a portable academic year fellowship. The Ph.D. Engineering Fellowships offer doctoral fellowships to underrepresented minority students who have either completed, are currently enrolled in a master's in engineering program, or received admittance into a PhD program. The Ph.D. Science Fellowship aims to increase the number of minority students who pursue doctoral degrees in the natural science disciplines - chemistry, physics, earth sciences, mathematics, biological sciences, and computer science.

Microwave Engineering Fellowship/Microwave Engineering for Medical Applications Fellowship
The purpose of fellowship is to recognize and provide financial assistance to graduate students who show promise and interest in pursuing a graduate degree in applying microwave engineering to medical applications. The student must be actively pursuing a graduate degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, biomedical engineering or other appropriate field on a full-time basis at an accredited institution of higher learning. It is expected that the student will be engaged in studies and research or thesis related activities for at least 12 months following the award. Research work must clearly involve the application of RF and microwave techniques to medical problems, supervised by a full-time faculty supervisor.

WateReuse Arizona Scholarships
WateReuse Arizona will award two (2) scholarships of two-thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) each to Arizona university and college students. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoc for research projects in the field of cardiac muscle physiology to study the role of myosin binding protein-C (MyBP-C) in the regulation of cardiac contraction. Projects include development and characterization of novel and existing animal models of cardiac myosin binding protein-C, biochemical/biophysical investigations of cMyBP-C function, and molecular mechanisms by which mutations in cMyBP-C cause cardiomyopathies. Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Postdoctoral Fellowships
HFSP postdoctoral fellowships encourage early career scientists to broaden their research skills by moving into new areas for study while working in a new country. HFSP fellowships are for three years. Fellows may choose to stay for up to three years in the host country or use the last year of their fellowship to return to their home country or to move to another HFSPO member country. Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) are for applicants with a Ph.D. in a biological discipline, who will broaden their expertise by proposing a project in the life sciences which is significantly different from their previous Ph.D. or postdoctoral work. Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships (CDF) are for applicants with a Ph.D. from outside the life sciences (e.g. in physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering or computer sciences), who have had limited exposure to biology during their previous training.

Institute of Current World Affairs Fellowships
The Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) Fellowships nurture deep expertise in foreign cultures by supporting fellows engaged in self-designed independent study abroad for at least two years. A proposed fellowship must hold the promise of enriching public life in the US by enhancing understanding of foreign countries, cultures, and trends. ICWA provides "full financial support" for its fellows during the course of the fellowship experience. Eligible candidates must be under 36 years of age, have completed at least a bachelor's degree, and possess the necessary language skills to carry out their projects overseas. Special consideration for fellows in Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East and for fellows with graduate degrees in forestry or forest-related specialties.

Fulbright Scholar Program
The Fulbright Scholar Program offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries. In order to meet the changing needs of academia and develop new options to better accommodate the interests and commitments of today's scholars, the program has introduced several innovations to the 2014-2015 program, including: Fulbright Flex Awards, Fulbright Postdoctoral/Early Career Awards, Salary Stipend Supplements, and Teaching English as a Foreign Language Awards.
