Dear Directors of Graduate Studies and Graduate Program Coordinators,

The Graduate College and the Graduate and Professional Student Council are proud to host UA Grad Slam, and we are excited to have the gracious support of both the University Libraries and the Office of Research and Discovery (ORD)!

Grad Slam is an opportunity for graduate students  to enhance their public speaking skills while competing for awards up to $3000 from the Office of Research and Discovery. Please share this opportunity with your students. Attached is a copy of the event poster.

GRAD SLAM 2015

*         WHAT: Grad Slam is a campus-wide competition for the best 3-minute talk about student research and discovery in a TED talk setting

*         PRIZES FROM THE ORD: 1st Place - $3000, 2nd Place $2000, 3rd Place - $1000

*         BENEFITS: Free pre-event workshops and professional development opportunities

*         WHEN: March 23-April 6, 2015

*         WHO: Graduate students from any discipline may participate

*         WHERE: UA Student Union Memorial Center
