On Behalf of Eric Lyons:

Your computational infrastructure needs.
Biology is increasingly a data intensive science where discoveries are made using large-scale computation. The University of Arizona has a phenomenal diversity of computing resources including the UA's research high-performance computing center (http://uits.arizona.edu/research-computing/hpc-services) and the $100M iPlant Collaborative (http://www.iplantcollaborative.org/).
In addition, the UA offers a diversity of classes and workshops for learning how to use these and similar types of systems. This lunch time meeting (food provided) is an opportunity for the School of Plant Sciences to learn about what graduate students feel they need in terms of access and learning materials to prepare them for the future of data driven discovery in plant and life science research.
Please indicate on the doodle poll if you will be attending. http://doodle.com/r6qt2zt352xk5acv

Best,
Eric
