[Plsgs] SPLS Graduate Student Awards

Dear graduate students,

The Graduate Student Program Committee would like to recognize the
exceptional achievements of ...you, our graduate students in SPLS. To this
end we would like to offer five School-wide awards:

Outstanding Scholarly Achievement
Outstanding Thesis
Outstanding Dissertation
Outstanding Teaching Assistant
Outstanding Outreach and Service

The awards will be open for nomination on an annual basis (around April 1
each year). We anticipate that every award may not be made in every annual
cycle -- these are for really outstanding activity -- but we hope to start
a cycle of recognizing student achievement and excellence across our School.

Students should be nominated by faculty members, as indicated in the
attached flyers. Please approach your advisor, the professor with whom you
have been a TA, or other relevant faculty member if you would like to
inquire about nomination.
