Graduate students interested in travel or research abroad will be interested
in two opportunities this week:

 

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Information Session - sorry for the
late notice; this just came to our attention

Monday, March 4th from 4:00 - 4:45 in ILC 130

DAAD supports academic exchange, language courses, and research in Germany.
The west coast representative, Leslie Harlson, will be on campus today. She
will give information and answer question about the various opportunities
offered by DAAD.

 

Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) 

Wednesday, March 6 from 11:00 - 1:00 in the Santa Cruz Room (Main Student
Union)

The Fulbright-Hays provides support for PhD students pursuing full-time
research abroad (excluding Western Europe) in modern foreign languages and
area studies for 6 - 12 months. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent
residents, have advanced to candidacy by the time the fellowship begins, and
have adequate language skills to carry out the research. This information
session will provide details on the fellowship as well as tips for applying.
