Dear graduate students,

I hope that my note finds you all well. Happy new year and best wishes for
an excellent start to the spring term!

At the moment, I am writing with a request from the School's IT committee.
We are ready to feature you, our graduate students, on our website! Please
see the note below from Xiong. Your prompt submission of professionally
appropriate photos would be wonderful (note: please send them as directed
below -- to Chris Large).

In the coming weeks I will look forward to scheduling a lunch with you to
discuss our progress on the issues that you raised in last semester's pizza
lunch, etc. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing everyone at the
retreat this weekend.

As a part of the SPLS web site update, each graduate student is very
strongly encouraged*** to submit a personal photo to be used on the
graduate student page (http://cals.arizona.edu/spls/people/gradstudents).
 Examples of the photos submitted by faculty members are available at
http://cals.arizona.edu/spls/people/faculty. Please crop and/or reduce your
photo to a dimension between 250x250 and 500x500 pixels, and email it as an
attachment to Chris Large at clarge at cals.arizona.edu with a subject line
“Graduate Student Photo.”
