The Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships and the Graduate College
are holding two separate workshops on funding opportunities for graduate
students.

 

Nationally Competitive Scholarship (NCS) Information Session: 

Thursday, April 11 at 3:30 in EDUC 318

This session will provide general information about graduate student
funding.

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Information Session:

Friday, April 12 from 11:00 - 1:00 in the Santa Cruz Room (Main Student
Union)

This session will provide an overview of the National Science Foundation
(NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). The NSF GRFP supports
U.S. graduate students in the fields of science and engineering early in
their graduate career. Awardees receive three years of support over a five
year period, as well as additional benefits. Applicants must be:

1.	U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents
2.	Pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. in an NSF supported field during the
funding
3.	Undergraduate students, incoming graduate students, or beginning
second year graduate students (have completed no more than 12 months of
full-time graduate study or the equivalent by August 2013)
