Dear Graduate Student,

Are you interested in applying for the National Science Foundation Graduate
Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP)? We are happy to announce that this
fall the UA GradFunding Center is providing applicant support for the NSF
GRFP.

What is the NSF GRFP?

The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to
help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering
workforce in the United States. The program is a wonderful source of funding
for graduate students - providing awardees with $30,000 annually for three
years, as well as additional benefits. For more information, please review
the following website: http://www.nsfgrfp.org

Who is eligible for the NSF GRFP?

1.	US citizens, US nationals, or permanent residents
2.	Completed no more than 12 months of full-time graduate studies.
(This generally includes incoming graduate students and graduate students in
the fall of their second year.)
3.	Check full eligibility criteria:
http://www.nsfgrfp.org/how_to_apply/eligibility_guide

What does the GradFunding Center provide?

Students who register for the GradFunding Support Program for the NSF GRFP
will receive the following:

1.	Email updates with advice and links.
2.	Access to examples of successful applications.
3.	Feedback on application essays (provided the early internal deadline
is met).
4.	Invitations to information sessions on the fellowship and to
workshops on the application process.

Please complete the survey below to register for support through the
GradFunding Center. Successful applicants almost invariably begin their
applications in the summer, so please register as soon as possible:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/UANSFGRF

We look forward to working with you this fall!

Sincerely,

Shelley Hawthorne Smith and Georgia Ehlers
