Each species has its own features 

— learn to see cryp4c similari4es and  

           important differences. 

 

  

• Plants of the world

    Familiar plants can have unfamiliar cousins  

      — learn their family traits and pedigrees. 

 

• Evolution of diversity 

    Plants provide food and shelter for humans,  

      other animals, and microbes   

      — learn how they evolved such vital varia4on. 

 

• Modern systematics 

    Our understanding of the Tree of Life has never been better 

      — learn how to read history and use it to organize knowledge. 

 

 

This class is now listed as ECOL 472 and is open for Spring 2012 enrollment.

 

Lecture (90555) meets with ECOL 572 and PLS 572 M,W 10-10:50am 

Lab (90556) is held M,W 1-4pm
