[Plsgs] volunteer opportunity

Dear PLS/PLP Grad Students,

 

I am teaching a 'Research Readiness' course (SCI 295B) to a group of
freshman/sophomore Arizona Assurance <http://www.assurance.arizona.edu/Home>
Scholars who are interested in the STEM (science, technology, engineering &
math) fields. As part of their activities in this course, the students are
required to 'shadow' a graduate student for at least two hours a week for
the next 9 weeks, attend your lab meetings, and write short synopses about
the experience.

 

If you are interested in participating as a graduate-student mentor, please
contact me as soon as possible. It is also important that you obtain your
advisor's permission for this. I will be happy to take care of the needed
paperwork to allow the students access to the labs.
