<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal"><span class="x_x_x_ui-provider">This year is one of those rare years where there will be a gap between supp comp period and the start of the academic year. This means there will be a gap in pay, no pay for one week (08/12-08/18),
the paycheck on August 23<sup>rd</sup>, 2024 will be for only one week of pay, please ensure you let your Grad Students know. It is also mentioned on their form and in the email I will send them.

<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal"><b>Graduate Student Supplemental Compensation:</b></p>
<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Attached you will find the summer compensation form for your graduate students. (Note: All GA’s are on an academic appointment and will end on 5/19/2024). Please use the form to discuss with your grad student
their summer work plans and funding. <span style="background:yellow">Deadline for submitting the request forms attached is
<b>Friday April 26<sup>th</sup>, 2024</b>.</span> An announcement will be sent to all graduate students directing them to coordinate their summer plans with you.</p>

<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Reminder, in order to be eligible for summer compensation, one of the following must apply:</p>

<li class="x_x_x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Student must be pre-enrolled for 6+ units for Fall 2024 (this will be checked)</li></ul>

<li class="x_x_x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Student must be enrolled for 6+ for Summer 2024</li></ul>

<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Students who are graduating during the summer months must be enrolled during the summer in order to be paid by the faculty advisor.</p>

<p class="x_x_x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><b>Pay Rates</b>: unless otherwise negotiated, all students will follow the following pay scale- Assistant $28.50/hour, Associate $30.50/hour. If you wish to change this rate or would like to develop a graduate
funding plan, please coordinate with Leslie Bonilla.</p>
