<p class="x_MsoNormal">To answer your question, it is just one application that students submit through Scholarship Universe. There is a survey in the beginning and based on the answers students provide, students are paired with multiple scholarships. In short,
after April 1<sup>st</sup> , Camille Andersen with CALS Career and Academic Services, meets with department representatives to provide information about all the applicants and their cover letters. The department representative is also part of the SPLS scholarship
committee and is a liaison to the committee. Finally, the SPLS scholarship committee reviews the applicants makes sure that they do meet the criteria of the scholarships and selects recipients.

<p class="x_MsoNormal">Please know that these are a different set of scholarships that fund our first-year grad program. Those are still managed entirely by SPLS and are not available through Scholarship Universe. I hope this clarifies any confusion.</p>
