<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;vertical-align:baseline">ALVSCE leadership requested that we submit faculty hiring requests for this cycle, but provided very short notice. As a unit, we previously proposed six positions centered in Research,
Extension, and Teaching. We are now asked to provide a ranked list within each of these categories by Jan. 5. Given the tight timeline we are reaching out to ask for your input using a brief online form. <span style="font-size:12.0pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Please take a moment and provide your perspective regarding the importance of each position to the future of SPLS and our mission delivery. We will welcome new proposals for hiring priorities on the next cycle, for which we shall plan over
time in a unit-engaged and structured process. We welcome suggestions in the ‘comments’ section of the poll as we look ahead for the longer term, recognizing that new priorities, recent hires, and our ongoing search for a Permanent Director may influence future
submissions from our faculty as a unit. <o:p></o:p></p>
