Dear all,<br><br>The University currently lists 37 faculty as having primary appointments in the School of Plant Sciences. Of these, 26 actively voted 'yes' on the Addendum to the Phase II document by contacting me (70.3%). The remaining 11 faculty members with primary appointments in our School either voted no (1), actively abstained (1), or did not respond with a vote or abstention (9). <br>
<br>On the basis of these results, I would like to move forward with the addendum. I have received helpful comments from diverse faculty; thank you to all who have written with thoughts. I will incorporate these as possible with the aim of retaining the brevity, clarity, and efficiency of the document. I then will send the final document to Dean Burgess, with the voting results listed above, and to our faculty list. I've discussed this with Karen and she agrees that it is an acceptable way forward.<br>
<br>Thank you all for your input. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. Undoubtedly it is time to focus our energies on Phase III, and of course, on our many productive activities outside of these documents.<br>
