We have been hopeful that things would change, but see no promise of that happening.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I will be sending reviewer remarks on preproposals as a “FYI” , as these remarks may provide PI’s with information that may be helpful in preparing applications to other agencies.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We are disappointed that Congress has taken this approach toward dealing with budget issues, since the entire amount of funding of special grants (aka earmarks ) is comparatively low. Hopeful, we can find a mechanism to keep the SWC program alive, and restart with new preproposals/proposals for FY 12.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>As always, we thank you for your participation in this program.
