Good evening valued colleagues,
Our faculty conversation that Betsy announced last week will center on information from the Dean's Research Advisory Committee (DRAC) and will be led by me as the SPLS DRAC representative in Saguaro Hall 219 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Note that the time is a little different than announced by Betsy because of unforeseeable booking conflicts.
If you can't make it in person, you are very welcome to join us by Zoom: https://arizona.zoom.us/s/4619575532
At the end of the discussion, I will ask you to fill in the following survey: https://forms.gle/kzfQdox3WQsPJMRn7 The introduction of the survey contains background information about the two topics we will tackle during the discussion. I hope it is not too late for all of you to look over the provided material. The survey will be anonymized before sharing and email addresses will be used to allow for only one answer per faculty.
Per Betsy: As it is understood that not everyone can attend, the faculty discussion will be complemented by a short, anonymous survey so that all have a chance to contribute their perspectives. The purpose of the discussion is to hear feedback on certain topics that can help us chart ways forward as a unit: they are not binding in terms of votes for policy, but are a forum for input. Surveys will be handled by the faculty member coordinating the discussion and will be treated anonymously.
I am looking forward to an exciting discussion,
Alex
