I forward this note from Ravi and Alonso who are in charge of organizing the Poster session at this years retreat. Please read carefully!

-----------------------------------------------------

(A note to PIs and Faculty: If you have a student not part of the SPLS graduate program but participating in the retreat, please forward this email to them)

Hello everyone,

If you haven't registered to attend the SPLS Annual Retreat next Thursday and Friday, please do so as soon as you can on this site (the "Register" button is at the very top right))
https://splsretreat2024.godaddysites.com/

Poster presentation, important clarifications:

  1. > We encourage all graduate students and postdocs to present a poster at the retreat. Graduate students or postdocs not affiliated with SPLS or current ABBS rotations are also welcome to present a poster if you work in an SPLS lab. Registration for poster presentation is part of the registration form.
  2. > All poster presenters: As you know, exciting cash awards are waiting. All poster presenters are welcome to compete to win these awards, even if you are an award winner from last year (the only exception is if you are one of the two grand prize winners from the previous year).
  3. > There are two types of poster awards:

  * > SPLS Best Poster Award
  * > Computational Best Poster Award

  1. > If you are going to register to present a poster, please carefully choose one of the two categories under which you want to compete. Even if your poster content involves a partial amount of computational work, we recommend registering for the Computational Best Poster Award.
  2. > If you have already registered but wish to change the poster award category or haven't chosen one, please email me your new choice (rpalaniv at arizona.edu<https://mailto:rpalaniv@arizona.edu/>).
  3. > The official poster award rules can be found here: here: https://tinyurl.com/2024AwardRules
  4. > The evaluation rubric can be found here: here: https://tinyurl.com/2024PosterRubric

Thank you
Ravi , Alonso
