Subject: [Plsfaculty] Gathering in honor of Barry Pryor's retirement

Dear colleagues,

Please join me in wishing the very best for Barry Pryor, who will retire from the University of Arizona this coming Friday, Aug. 30.

Barry has been a member of our faculty in Plant Pathology and later, in Plant Sciences, since joining the University in 2001. His work in plant pathology and plant health more broadly, the systematics of the important fungal genus Alternaria, and most recently, on mushroom production has always been impactful. We have appreciated his teaching in Plant Pathology and his engagement of the next generation in the world of plant health and mycology in introductory courses, undergraduate mentoring, graduate mentoring, and more.

Please join us for an informal gathering this Thursday evening, Aug. 29, to wish Barry the best as he and Patricia embark to explore greener locations and rainier winters in the Pacific Northwest.

Union Public House, River/Campbell
6:30pm
Aug. 29 (Thursday)
Informal/no host, open house style

Hope to see you there!

Warm regards,
Betsy
