[Plsfaculty] Summer Supplemental Compensation Reminder

Good Morning Dr. Brown,

I ask that the forms not be merged, the graduate supp comp form has a break down of the hours that the student will be working each pay period, as there are rules and regulations on the number of hours that are allowed to be worked each pay period. The form also serves as a tool for the graduate students to enter those hours into their time sheets over the summer, the grads are responsible for reporting the hours, and the form with the approved hours by their PI helps them complete those, it would only create more work for me to merge them to this funding plan and then have to separate them to send back the grad sup comp form to the students once they are approved and ready to be entered into time sheets.

For those of you who have been wondering if the sup comp form needs to be completed along/or separately from the funding plan, yes it does. The funding plan is asking for FTE only and as I mentioned in the message above for summer we need a break down of hours that the student will work and the total number of hours along with an account number.

We’re all working to sorting out summer+ semester funding projections.

To avoid confusion, faculty are filling out this form attached / 4-year funding plan.
Leslie is reviewing the accounts for each faculty-student and will share with you shortly to set up summer supl comp forms.

Summer is more complicated – could we possibly merge these two forms?

I have only received a handful of summer sup comp forms, please ensure you complete those and send to me by this Friday April 26th, 2024, attached are the two different forms for Faculty & Graduates, if you have any questions please let me know. Also I understand that there is some waiting going on for the proposal that Dr. Beilstein presented, I will hold off submitting any graduate sup comp until a decision is made and communicated with me.
