Dear colleagues,

We welcome undergraduate students to apply for the 2023 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at The Morton Arboretum. If you are able, please share our note below. A flyer<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UkuJsMXRtjQWoxMoNGdD90tia6wT9610/view?usp=sharing> is also available.
Thank you,

REU at The Morton Arboretum: Integrated Tree Science in the Anthropocene
The Center for Tree Science Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is now accepting applications for summer 2023. The program includes a $6000 stipend, covers housing and travel expenses, and runs from May 30 to August 4, 2023. The program uses trees as model systems to investigate questions related to evolution, ecology, conservation, and management in natural and built environments. Applications are due February 3, 2023.

WHO SHOULD APPLY:
Undergraduate students who are interested in biology, environmental science, genetics, chemistry, ecology, natural history, natural resources, statistics, modeling, programming, and engineering. We encourage applicants from colleges and universities where research opportunities are limited, groups traditionally underrepresented in STEM programs, first- and second-year undergraduates, first-generation college students, and US military veterans currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.

Please visit our website for more information (mortonarb.org/reu<http://www.mortonarb.org/reu>), check out the flyer<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UkuJsMXRtjQWoxMoNGdD90tia6wT9610/view?usp=sharing>, or contact ctsreu at mortonarb.org<mailto:ctsreu at mortonarb.org> with questions.

Thank you,
Christine Carrier
