Dear CEDs and Academic Unit Heads,

I have received several inquiries about the new UAVitae report system and how that affects faculty with Extension appointments. Although we are still working out the details with the UA UAVitae Team, what is clear at this time is that all Extension Faculty must complete the section on Extension Programming, just as they have in past years. This section is used for our Federal Reporting to receive Smith-Lever funding. Secondly, all faculty must fill out the AAP-5 section on the UAVitae. This data is a federal requirement of all Extension systems across the country.

Please be sure to inform your faculty as they prepare for their Annual Reporting. I am meeting with Assist. Dean McLain soon to iron out the details, but these two sections will be included in the new format and must be filled out by Extension faculty as part of their annual reporting.
