[Plsfaculty] Sign Up Now to meet the Plant-Microbe Interactions faculty candidates

Hi All,

As I mentioned last week, we will have four great candidates interviewing for our Plant-Microbe Interactions faculty position starting next Monday.

Please sign up now to meet with them (links below).

Their seminars will be on the first day of their visits at noon:

Monday April 11 12-1 pm:  Morgan Carter - Untangling bacterial-fungal symbioses in the plant microbiome

Thursday April 14 12-1 pm: Alonso Favela - Ancient Roots: Anthropogenic disruption and rewilding of the Zea rhizosphere microbiome

Monday April 18 12-1 pm: Rebecca Schomer - The rules of attraction: Decoding plant-bacterial communication in the rhizosphere

Thursday April 21 12- 1pm: Alexandra Weisberg - Evolution of mobile elements and their impact on plant-microbe interactions

All seminars will be in Marley 230.

Each will also give a discussion of their teaching and DEI philosophy on the second day of their interviews, at 2 pm (room TBD).

For each candidate, we have time for meeting them in small groups of faculty at 3 pm on the first day of their visit and at 10 am on the second day of the visit.  Please sign up to meet with them during those times. There will likely be additional times to meet them but I am attempting to fill in requests they have made to meet with particular faculty first.  If you can’t make the two suggested times let me know and we will arrange a time in the open slots.
