[Plsfaculty] New Manager of Business and Administration in PLS Office

Hi,

As Karen mentioned in our faculty meeting, Ravi and I are part of the
committee that will hire the new leader for our Business Office. We have
begun reviewing applications and have a number of promising candidates.

Before we make a short list, we'd like to hear from you about what you
think is important for this position. We're not interested in hearing
complaints (although I could be persuaded to do so if a frosty beverage
were included) - just a 'wish list' of attributes you'd like to see in a
new Manager.

Please also take a moment to ask your staff what they need from this
position. Our lab managers in particular might interact with the office
differently than we do, and their feedback is important.

You can get your 'wish list' to Ravi or me via email, in person, or if you
wish to be anonymous, drop a note into our mailbox. The committee will
discuss applicants next Thursday (Dec 22), so don't delay!
