RE: NSF - Sustainability Research Networks Competition (SRN) -
2012

DATE: September 29, 2011

The Office of the Vice President for Research is accepting pre-proposals for
the NSF Sustainability Research Networks Competition (SRN). The guidelines
for the program can be found at
http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2011/nsf11574/nsf11574.htm.

Proposals must be submitted to the NSF Fast Lane no later than 5 PM on
December 1, 2011. The University may submit 3 preliminary proposals as the
lead institution. We are encouraging colleges to collaborate with one
another since the University is limited to 3 proposals. The pre-proposal
should consist of 1) no more than a two-page summary of the proposed program
and 2) curriculum vitae of the nominee.

All pre-proposals should be ranked by the Dean of each college. If more than
three nominations are received, a committee of peers will be convened to
select the University's candidates. Please forward your pre-proposals to
this office by Monday, October 10, 2012.
