Re: Faculty Grant Competitions
Confluence, A Center for Creative Inquiry is pleased to announce 2 faculty
grant competitions: the Confluence Innovation and Collaboration Faculty
Grants (which replaces last year's AHSS Grants), and the Confluence
Provost's Grand Challenges Grants (small grants).
Confluence invites proposals for innovative scholarly and creative projects
that cross disciplinary boundaries and intellectual orientations and that
bring together researchers and artists from diverse areas at the University
of Arizona in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. We hope that these
grants will create and nourish synergistic environments for faculty work,
enable faculty to apply for subsequent external funding, and increase the
impact and visibility of the research, scholarship, and creative activity
done at the University of Arizona. Confluence's mission objectives center on
expanding and facilitating opportunities for funding of interdisciplinary
projects and programs across our institution, identifying valuable emerging
scholarly areas of investment, and designing processes and incentives to
maximize collaborative and interdisciplinary research and teaching in our
campus community.
Application deadlines are:
For the Confluence Innovation and Collaboration Faculty Grants, March 28
For the Confluence Provost's Grand Challenges Grants, April 1.
