[Plsfaculty] New old committee

Dear PLS faculty,

 

I am rejuvenating the Advisory Committee to the Department Head - now the
Advisory Committee to the Division Director.  Since we no longer have
divisions, I think it is important to have a mechanism for faculty
representing different types of departmental activities to have a dialog
with the Division Director.  That way they can share problems with me and I
can share my problems with them.  Betsy Arnold, Cheri Kubota, Bill
McCloskey, and Ramin Yadegari have agreed to serve on this committee.  My
plan is to meet with them at least once a month.  I'm afraid we will have
lots to talk about in the coming months.  While you are welcome to see me at
any time with a problem, please also feel free to contact one of these
people about issues that you feel the Division needs to address.
