[Plsfaculty] PLS/PLP Graduate applicants, Spring 2011

On Behalf of Dr. Ramin Yadegari and the PLS Graduate Student Committee:

 

Dear Colleagues,

 

The Graduate Student Program Committee has evaluated the applicants for the
Spring semester 2011 and identified two candidates who are acceptable. Both
are interested in areas of applied plant sciences including breeding and
controlled environment agriculture. Due the budgetary shortfalls, the School
is not able to offer any support to these incoming students. As it stands,
any faculty who is interested in training either of the two students would
have to commit to support them for the entirety of their graduate training
before the candidates are offered  admission to the program.

The two applicants deemed acceptable by the committee are Dabbert and
Weaver. The other two have either been declined or will be declined shortly.
