[Plsfaculty] proposed faculty meeting

I will ask Joy to help me put together a time and place for a faculty
meeting next week. There are a large number of items that we should discuss
including:
 
1)      Plant systems biologists search
2)      Plant-microbe interactions search
3)      Proposal to change the name of the school to Plant and Microbial
Sciences
4)      Microbiology graduate degrees
5)      Graduate student recruiting
6)      Planning of a School retreat
 
There are likely to be other topics that you would like to discuss or be
brought up-to-date on. Can you please send those topics to me so that I can
put an agenda together?
 
On webcasts and podcasts for seminar speakers, it appears that it is safe to
do webcasts, as long as we do not record them, but if any faculty member
really needs the podcast, we will need to get approval of the speaker to
store it and we must come up with a reliable means by which to delete it
after a certain amount of time.
