[Plsfaculty] Rod Wing's condition after his biking accident

Hello All,

 

As some of you may know, Rod Wing was in a bike accident on Friday evening
going home from work.  He was on his bike and was hit from behind by a car
on Glenn Ave.  He is at UMC and is expected to go home tomorrow.  Dave
Kudrna from his lab let Brian and I know about the accident and his
condition.

 

Rod has some broken ribs, lacerations, bruises and a concussion.  According
to Dave he has several stiches on his face and in his mouth.  Jennifer and
his daughters are with him at the hospital and his prognosis is good.  I
don't know any details about the driver of the car.

 

Carole Turner from his lab will be coordinating and rescheduling his
appointments for the next few weeks.

 

I know we all send Rod our best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery.   I
will let everyone know when I have more information.
