[Plsfaculty] New hires

[Kenneth Feldmann]

Karen's committee is moving forward in the process of selecting Plant
Systems Biology candidates to interview. There are many excellent, and even
outstanding, applicants.  They will be inviting applicants to campus for
January interviews. In addition, a second position has been approved by the
Provost. This will also be a hire in the area of Systems Biology(Genomics).
While we have flexibility in this hire, I am intent in finding someone who
can successfully marry plants and  bacteriology. We would hope to be
interviewing for this position in February. I am in the process of
identifying a committee and Chair.
