RE: PL P 451/551 Biology and Characterization of Plant Pathogenic
Agents

I would like to bring to your attention PL P 451/551 Biology and
characterization of plant pathogenic agents, offered in Fall, 2009. This is
one of a few graduate-level courses with a laboratory component in our
department. Students will have opportunities to work with plant diseases and
a diverse array of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, nematodes, and viruses)
in the lab. Anyone with an interest in agriculture, microbiology, or in
using microbes as research tools should consider taking this class. See the
attached flyer for more information.

Spaces are still available for the class in the Fall semester. Please
distribute the flyer to interested students and advise them this
opportunity. The next offering for the class will be in Fall 2011.

Thank you,

Xiong
