As a close friend, colleague or student of Dr Chieri Kubota, I want you to
be aware that she learned this afternoon of her father's death, and she will
be traveling to Japan for the service.  He had been ill for many years, but
as always the announcement is surprising and difficult.

 

I am sure that she and her family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers
during this difficult time.
