HODs,

After 13 years as Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs, Dr.
David Cox will retire on May 25, 2009.  I am pleased that Dave will return
immediately on a 49% basis as our associate dean.  He will relinquish his
other duties to devote time to the associate dean responsibilities.  Some
duties will be assigned to other staff members in Academic Programs.  He
will serve in this capacity for the 2009-10 academic year.  Dave has been an
essential part of the CALS team and I am pleased that he has agreed to serve
on a part-time basis next year.

Beginning in June, he will normally be available Monday and Tuesday, as well
as Wednesday mornings.  This will vary in some weeks as the need arises.
