RE: New Academic Integrity video to show students on the first
day of classes

The Dean of Students Office is pleased to announce a new academic integrity
video to show students on the first or second day of classes. It is a little
over four minutes long and gives students an introduction to academic
integrity issues at The University of Arizona. It provides them with some
websites and resources to help them along the way to prevent academic
dishonesty.

The video is available on the front page of the Dean of Students Office
website (http://deanofstudents.arizona.edu/) and is titled "Academic
Integrity". It can also be found on the same website as a larger screen
under "Podcasts/Videos". It is the first video under "Navigating the Code of
Academic Integrity" titled "Academic Integrity".

We encourage faculty to show the video on the first or second day of classes
and to use it as an opportunity to discuss your own expectations of the
students with regard to academic integrity. If you are not in a classroom
with technology, please encourage your students to watch it as a homework
assignment.

The Dean of Students Office is more than happy to meet with faculty to
discuss academic integrity issues and procedures. Please direct any
questions to Kendal Washington White, Associate Dean of Students, or Rebekah
Coşkun, Graduate Assistant for Integrity and Ethics, at 520-621-7059.
