 to work on a holiday. The determination of which shall apply is at the department's discretion. For SPLS, if you are needed to work on a holiday, you will clock time as normal for that Holiday date and you will use the “HLE-Holiday” or “HLP-Holiday” for the
 day off you take in the <u>same pay period</u>.<o:p></o:p></li><ul style="margin-top:0in" type="circle">
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level2 lfo1">Example: I have to work day after Thanksgiving. I clock in 8 hours for 11/24 as “Regular” or 1 hour “PAW” and delete the pre-populated “Holiday” 8 hours in 11/24 column/box. I work
 it out with my supervisor to take 11/22 off instead, so I put 8 hours “HLE-Holiday” or “HLP-Holiday” for 11/23.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<u>fiscal-year</u> employees will receive University Closure Time to be paid during the Closure days: Day after Thanksgiving- 11/24, December 26-29, 2023<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2">You <u>
cannot</u> replace University Closure with Furlough or Personal Flex time and use University Closure dates later.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2"><u>Employees required to work during University Closure</u>: Those who will be working during the University Closure should report normal work hours and work with their supervisor
 to use University Closure days at a convenient time before June 30 of the following year (aka: by June 30, 2023). These decisions are made by the supervisor, not individual employees.<o:p></o:p></li><ul style="margin-top:0in" type="circle">
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level2 lfo2">Similar to Holiday above, you will delete the “UCE-University Closure” or “UCP-University Closure” pre-populated hours and clock in “Regular/PAW” for the hours you work.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l1 level2 lfo2">You and your supervisor are responsible for keeping track of University Closure days to use at a later time. There are no reports and Payroll has no tracking. If they are not used
 by June 30<sup>th</sup>, you will forfeit those hours. Also, University Closure Time is not payable on separation from University employment.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>
