<span style="font-size:11.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#333333">The University of Arizona has acquired an enterprise license for Adobe® Connect™ to be the University’s new online meeting tool, as a result of an RFP process. Adobe Connect will replace
the current BlackBoard Collaborate service effective August 31, 2015.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.75pt;line-height:15.6pt;background:white">
<span style="font-size:11.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#333333">Adobe Connect’s web conferencing application provides the delivery of real-time online meetings with tools specifically designed for the educational experience. You can create a virtual
environment for sharing presentations, images, and desktop applications with remote participants. Additional features include audio and videoconferencing, text chat, a digital whiteboard, polling, and breakout rooms for small group work. More information about

The service is currently available for use in the University of Arizona's online course management tool, <b><a href="http://help.d2l.arizona.edu/content/adobe-connect-overview" target="_blank"><span style="color:#003366">Desire2Learn
(D2L)</span></a></b>. To get started using Adobe Connect in D2L click <b><a href="http://help.d2l.arizona.edu/content/getting-started-adobe-connect" target="_blank"><span style="color:#003366">here</span></a></b>. Adobe Connect will be available to all university
faculty and staff outside of a course management system in October 2015. Registration information and documentation will be available on the <b><a href="http://oia.arizona.edu/resource/adobe-connect" target="_blank"><span style="color:#003366">Office of Instruction
and Assessment website</span></a></b> prior to the launch.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<b>Faculty who currently have video content on BlackBoard Collaborate will need to move the content and archive it before August 31.</b> Instructions for archiving content and uploading it to<b><a href="http://uits.arizona.edu/services/panopto" target="_blank"><span style="color:#003366">Panopto</span></a></b> are
available <b><a href="http://oia.arizona.edu/sites/default/files/4_main_steps_to_saving_a_Collaborate_archive.pdf" target="_blank"><span style="color:#003366">here</span></a></b>. It is recommended that faculty upload archived content into Panopto so students
can continue to access it after the upgrade to Adobe Connect.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
