In anticipation of this change, I have asked Mario to begin the process of converting the School of Plant Sciences e-mail addresses from cals.arizona.edu to the UA’s email address. The plan is to forward everyone’s CALs e-mails to the University system and give you several months to notify your contacts of your new e-mail address. More information will be coming from Mario as we move forward. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'>Mario has indicated that there are some advantages you should know about in terms of making this change: <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'>a. UA email allows better integration with enterprise applications like calendar, Lync (messaging).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'>b. Calendars can be created and shared with anyone at the University, there is also a global contact list for the University.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'>c. The Lync messaging program works with Exchange allowing you to instant message, voice message and video conference.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'>d. It is easier to setup on mobile devices and you will be able to see all of your email, contacts and calendar.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#0033CC'>e.
