We hope to feature visiting speakers having <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>demonstrably productive careers based on an undergraduate degree in <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>PLS (or related fields).<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Based on budgetary considerations, I have explored the idea of <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>distance-learning using communications software, and it seems <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>entirely feasible for us to have at least some class sessions using <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>distal speakers, presenting their audio and video and a powerpoint <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>presentation in real time across the internet.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>I am writing to ask your help in identifying "famous" PLS or CALS <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>alumni and alumnae (interpreted broadly -- i.e. these could be former <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>UA/PLS/CALS ugrad students, grad students, postdocs, faculty etc.) <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>that we could approach to provide talks like this.
