Dr. Steven de Belle will present a talk titled "Resilience in Biological Systems, Navigating Change in Federal Funding."

Bio:
Dr. Steven de Belle is a Research Scientist at the School of Life Sciences at
Arizona State University (ASU). His group examines the biology that supports
rules of learning established in the cognitive sciences. They use genetic,
molecular, pharmacological and imaging tools to disambiguate biochemical
and neural circuit processes that enable learning, consolidation and recall of
memories in Drosophila and humans.

de Belle was a BIO Program Director in the Division of Biological Infrastructure
at NSF (2023-2025), where he managed the following program:

  *   Major Research Instrumentation
  *   Infrastructure Innovation for Biological Research
  *   Research Coordination Networks
  *   Biology Integration Institutes

Previously (2007-2010) he was a Program Director managing Neural and
Animal Behavior Programs in the Division of Integrative Organismal Systems.
