Subject: [Plantsci] SPLS: Seminar today

Dear SPLS community,

Please consider joining today's SPLS seminar at 4pm in Marley 230 (in-person or, if needed, on Zoom: https://arizona.zoom.us/j/86313228861).

Today, our seminar will be dedicated to a community discussion regarding the role, value, structure, and desired impact of the School of Plant Sciences seminar series. We will work in small groups to discuss the seminar and how it can best be optimized as a useful activity for our unit. I will coordinate the initial discussion and then will step out to encourage open communication on three main prompts:

1. What is the value and role of a seminar series in a School such as ours?
2. What works well about our seminar series? What should we continue to do?
3. What doesn't work well about our seminar series? What changes should we consider?

All unit members are invited to complete a brief, anonymous survey after the meeting today (all are welcome to respond, even if you can't or choose not to attend today). The survey will be open until Friday at 5pm. I will summarize responses in a report back to the unit. https://forms.gle/sTJYkdujUvBojYWdA

As usual, cookies/etc. will be available starting at 3:30 in the Marley lobby today.
