On behalf of the SPLS awards committee, I'd like to circulate information below about the Shirley O'Brien ALVSCE Community Awards. If you are interested in nominating someone from SPLS, or in self-nominating, please contact either Xiong (zxiong at arizona.edu) or I (baltrus at arizona.edu) as soon as possible as the deadline is end of week.

Community Awards

The ALVSCE Fairness Council is now accepting nominations for the Shirley O’Brien ALVSCE Community Awards.

The Legacy Community Champion award is for an individual that has demonstrated exemplary leadership for at least five years.

The Emerging Community Champion award is for an individual that has shown exemplary leadership by initiating a new program or effort in the past 4 years or less.

A new Team Community Champions award is for team nominees of 2 or more people who have shown exemplary leadership and teamwork through ALVSCE community building efforts.

All faculty and staff in ALVSCE are eligible for nomination.
