Dear Colleague,
This is an UPDATE from the previous email sent of February 20.
On Thursday, March 13, beginning at 6:00 a.m., there will be a power shutdown in the Computer Center. This shutdown will include the High Performance Computing (HPC) data center and all servers on premises. If you work in the Computer Center building, please make alternative work location plans for March 13.
This shutdown is necessary to address core power infrastructure issues.
Please note:
* Cloud services will not be impacted.
* Both sides of the Computer Center building will be shutdown.
* The switchroom and therefore, the campus network, will not be impacted. (It will be powered by its own generator.)
* The work is expected to last 4-6 hours.
* Once commercial power is restored, the ALL CLEAR will be communicated on the following channels:
* Teams channel: UArizona IT Coordinations/03_13_2025 PLC Replacement.
* Teams channel: All UITS Staff Team
* Downtime-request at list.arizona.edu<mailto:Downtime-request at list.arizona.edu>
